Current status: Valid as Tanichthys albonubes Lin 1932. Cyprinidae: Xenocypridinae. Distribution: China and northern Vietnam; introduced in R�union. Habitat: freshwater.

Current status: Valid as Tanichthys thacbaensis Nguyen & Ngo 2001. Cyprinidae: Xenocypridinae. Distribution: Yen Bai Province, Thac Ba Lake, Yen Binh, northern Vietnam. Habitat: freshwater.
