Tropical vs. Temperate organisms susceptibility to ammonia

Most published data on ammonia toxicity is on cold water species. In this paper, Wang et al perform tests on tropical species and provide insight into the variability of susceptibility to tropical organisms to ammonia - which varied widely. No surprises here, invertebrates were the most susceptible, then fish, while algae was the least susceptible to ammonia poisoning.
