It was introduced first as Tonina sp. "Manaus" (via Japan?), later Cavan Allen informed that it's not a Tonina but a Syngonanthus. According to Christel Kasselmann it's likely S. inundatus, therefore it's written with cf. The only known species of the genus Tonina is T. fluviatilis.
