"The building in pre-war Hamburg of the legendary and industry defining and building - Aquarium Hamburg. It inspired NYC's Paramount Aquarium, Fred Cochu and a good deal of the early Florida fish farms. AH pioneered so much in import, worldwide export and breeding. They were behind so much from 1929-1960's with their last great contribution was commercially importing Rift Lake Cichlids for the first time. They had tried in 1939 but the war came so it had to wait until the late 1950's for both lakes. We all owe Walter Griem so much." - Robert Ellerman
