Long-snouted Pipefish

This freshwater species is widely distributed in Southeast Asia, and also found in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. Living in streams and rivers, it feeds on small crustaceans, worms and insects and grows to a maximum length of 41 cm, making it the largest freshwater pipefish. Ovoviviparous; the male carryies the eggs then gives birth to live young
