Fan Tailed Guppies
The veil tail guppy came into existence in 1934 when the black round tail guppy (carrying the caudal pigment gene) was crossed into double swords. Both fish came into the market in the U.S. in 1932. It was later discovered that the cochinus gene widened the tail which created the delta tail. - William Gill
