cf I still have not been able to do a expedition in my life without finding and bringing back new species. This Melanoatenia sp. is possibly new, it has only some similarity to the one found with Gerry R. Allen in Aru 2013 at its northern end, which he described 2015 in aqua as M. wokamensis. The main difference is in the latter to have black surrounding at the ventral scales and a reddish seam at the tail. - Heiko Bleher
